Shorts 20 opens on May 9 and runs May 10 and 11! Directed and produced by students, four plays explore various themes including, isolation, peer pressure, family, friendship, and love – Trevor, directed by Kaelyn Cahill, is a very relevant farce about two women negotiating coming out to their parents; Rat Court, directed by Ashley Yablonsky and Lukas Montgomery, investigates control and sorority culture; Candid, directed by Thomas Mor, showcases a boy’s journey through dealing with his dysfunctional family; and The Shallow End, directed by Emma Fulmer, examines the troubled waters of teen bullying and societal pressures. With set and lighting design by Nicholas Bergerson, and a fantastic ensemble of actors, designers, and crew, Shorts 20 promises to entertain and perhaps enlighten!
